Nestled amidst towering Douglas firs graced by crystaline air, the Lake Sawyer Bed and Breakfast invites guests into nature’s silent serenity and far-flung beauty. Situated near the once-rural cities of Maple Valley and Kent in the glacial foothills of the Cascade Mountains, it can offer close-by hiking for those eager to explore what remains of our forest areas.From the sheltered site itself, year-round trophy trout and bass fishing call by day, while brilliantly clear skies and star clusters beckon night viewing from the deck of our A-frame home, free from metropolitan smog and city-light refractions. This lovely chalet with its waterfront and dock avails the watersports’ enthusiast of myriad opportunities.

We are located southeast of Seattle and northeast of Tacoma, in historic Black Diamond of turn-of-the-century coal mining fame, the Lake Sawyer Bed & Breakfast attracts visitors of many tastes. Routes I-5 and Highway 18 bring one quickly to this year-round enchanting accommodation, close to outings at 14,410 foot Mount Rainier and spectacular Snoqualmie Falls. Three neighboring golf courses, two of which are only minutes away, the Crystal Mountain ski resort, and the annual Puyallup Fair provide diverse entertainments for visitors year-round. The National Cemetery, too, is nearby.

Pilots fly float planes into the lake and tie-up at local docks, too! What Will I Need To Bring?/ Will I Enjoy Privacy? Guests are encouraged to bring the following: Swim suit, beach towel, house slippers, personal flotation devices, life jacket, fishing pole, personal watercraft, camera, hiking/ski gear, guitar, binoculars for wildlife sightings.

PRIVACY: Yes! You will enjoy the privacy of beach gardens, grounds, and a house that are yours alone to enjoy! COOKING: You will be able to cook using the microwave, traditional stove, refrigerator, dishes, pots & pans, mixer..you name it...it’s there for your use. Grocery shopping is very close at the Lake Sawyer Grocery or out a bit to Four Corners in Maple Valley where you can find every necessity.
